New Technical Assistance Project for ASOSAI

Asian Development Bank (ADB) had approved a new Technical Assistance Project for ASOSAI to enhance its training capability through strengthening the audit capacity of newly established SAIs. The Assistance will come from the Japan Special Fund of ADB and the IDI will provide a maximum of US$350,000.

The primary goal of the new project is to improve audit capabilities for newly established SAIs (the targeted SAIs) in ASOSAI through hands-on workshops and upgrade training capacity for ASOSAI including its member SAIs. The targeted SAIs in this new project are grouped by geographical location and language to be used as medium of instruction: (i) East and Central Asia – Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz and Mongolia (SAI Group 1); and (ii) Mekong and South Asia – Afghanistan, Cambodia, Laos, Maldives, Myanmar, and Vietnam (SAI Group 2).
