IDI- ASOSAI sponsored workshop on "Audit of Fraud and Corruption"
An IDI sponsored workshop on “Dealing with Fraud and Corruption in Auditing“ was held in Lahore, Pakistan from December 12-17, 2005. 37 participants from 15 SAI attended the workshop. The workshop was aimed at equipping the participants with the knowledge and skills necessary for detecting and preventing fraud and corruption while conducting their regular audit assignments. The course contents were based on best practice guidance from various sources as well as on the collective auditing experience of instructor team and senior subject matter experts. The workshop provided ample opportunities for the participants to actively participate through case studies, group discussions etc.

IDI-ASOSAI Symposium for Regional Training Specialists
The IDI-ASOSAI Symposium for Regional Training Specialists, fully
organized and financed by the IDI, was held in Bangkok, Thailand, in March -
April, 2004, generating preliminary designs for four topics. The IDI has
proposed that ASOSAI and the IDI will develop the four preliminary designs into
course materials, and deliver two of them. One of the four designs was developed
into and delivered as an ASOSAI-sponsored workshop on Public Debt in 2004.
