It gives me great satisfaction to present to you the 25th issue of our journal. As you are aware the journal was started in 1983 with an annual issue and has become biannual since 2004.
With the substantial increase in internet penetration in the region and the world over and with the ASOSAI website featuring the latest issue as well as an archive of all journals published so far, the Governing Board at its 35th meeting in Kunming, China has decided to convert the ASOSAI journal into an e-journal. For members who do not have adequate access to internet, the Secretariat would send CDs or colour printouts on receipt of such a request.
While our journal updates the members on INTOSAI and ASOSAI news, developments / news and training programmes in member SAIs etc. one of the important objectives of the journal is to provide a forum for sharing experiences in different areas of state audit. Articles written by public audit professionals from member SAIs are the life line of the journal. In order to streamline the inflow of the articles the 35th Governing Board has resolved, that while inviting articles from all members, a specific request may be made to ten member SAIs each time to contribute at least one article for the next issue.
I request all members to send their suggestions and feedbacks for further improving our e-journal.
I wish you all a very happy and prosperous new year.
