Jointly sponsored by ASOSAI and the National Audit Office of the People’s Republic of China (hereinafter referred to as CNAO), the ASOSAI Training Course/Seminar on Social Security Audit was successfully held during June 6-13, 2000 in Beijing, the People’s Republic of China with the concerted efforts of ASOSAI members. 43 participants attended the course/seminar representing 35 countries and regions (including non-ASOSAI member, Kiribati and China’s two Special Administrative Region).

The seminar was organised professionally and all the delegates were looked after very well. The entire itinerary was planned out and executed with perfect cohesion and coordination.
In order to increase interaction amongst the participants CNAO also organised a number of innovative and creative activities such as fishing, bowling and karaoke singing.
Sightseeing trips such as Great Wall, Tian’men Square, Forbidden City, The Chinese Opera and the Temple of Heaven also exposed the participants to the grandeur and panorama of Chinese culture and tradition.
