Mr.Khondkar Moazzamuddin Hossain took oath of Office of the Comptroller and Auditor General of Bangladesh on 7 March 1992.
Born on 30 March 1936, he obtained Master of Arts degree from Dhaka University at the age of 21. He entered Government Service in 1960 and rose up to be the Secretary to the Government of Bangladesh in January 1991. He has a long and rich experience in government having held various important positions connected with Finance, Economic Affairs, Commerce, Insurance, Banking, Relief and Rehabilitation, Health and Family Welfare, Post and Telecommunication, Women Affairs etc.
Mr.Takashi Nakajima, was appointed the President of the Board of Audit, Japan on 30 October 1992, succeeding Mr.Kiyoshi Nakamura.
Mr.Nakajima joined the Ministry of Home Affairs in 1955 after he took the Master of Laws degree from Tokyo University. In 1972, he was transferred to the Secretariat of the House of Representatives, and from 1985 he held the office of the Deputy Secretary General. In March 1987, he was appointed one of the three Commissioners of the Board of Audit.
Mr. Hoi Chang Lee, Senior Justice of the Supreme Court was appointed as the Chairman, Board of Audit and Inspection, Republic of Korea, succeeding Mr.Young Joon Kim. Mr.Lee has had a distinguished career in the judiciary since 1960.
Mr.S.M. Sabry was appointed as the Auditor General of Sri Lanka succeeding Mr.W. Gamini Epa who retired on 26 January 1993. Mr.Sabry was earlier Deputy Auditor General.
Mrs.Rudi Jivalak has been appointed Auditor General of Thailand on 1 October 1992. She succeeds Mr.Prayat Thirawat who had retired. She has the distinction of being the first woman Auditor General of Thailand.
Mrs.Jivalak joined the Thai Office of the Auditor General in 1959 immediately after her graduation with a B.S. in Commerce from Thammasart University. She later obtained her M.A. (Business Administration) from Ball State University, USA. She has served on several government appointed committees dealing with financial and auditing matters. She had been the Secretary General of the Institute of Certified Accountants and Auditors of Thailand. Her achievements and dedication to public service resulted in her being honoured by the National Commission on Women's Affairs as an outstanding woman for 1992.
